Bono's Historic Orange

Route 66 is still home to some interesting, wacky tacky, roadside history.  Sometimes the interest comes in the form of a Wigwam Motel.  Sometimes it comes in the form of amazing neon signs.  Sometimes it can even come in the form of a giant orange.

Bono's Historic Orange - Fontana, CA

Bono's Historic Orange is an orange-shaped structure that began its life as a roadside fruit stand in 1936.
In the last 75 years, it has been closed, reopened, defaced by grafitti, closed again, saved from the wrecking ball, and moved to its current location. Orange you glad it's still a part of Route 66?
